Gal Dayan Named Chief Operating Officer at Ascent Global Logistics

After a quarter-century career spanning roles at Apple and UPS, Gal Dayan has stepped into the Chief Operating Officer role at Ascent Global Logistics. His appointment, which took effect October 1, signals a strategic push by the Belleville-based firm to bolster its leadership as it scales global time-critical supply chain operations.

Dayan arrives with a resume covering 26 years of logistics experience, most recently serving as COO for Horizon Air Freight and Swift Marine. His background includes a significant tenure at Apple, where he managed the company’s global inbound transportation network, and 23 years at UPS in various operations and procurement leadership positions.

CEO Rob Walpole highlighted Dayan’s ability to manage complex transportation networks as a catalyst for the firm’s future performance. For his part, Dayan emphasized the importance of blending specialized expertise with the company’s existing digital freight platform, PEAK, to maintain service standards in an evolving market. This leadership shift comes as Ascent seeks to sharpen its competitive edge in the expedited logistics sector.
