Tillemans brings extensive experience from legacy consumer-packaged goods firms, including Unilever, General Mills, and Perdue Farms. His previous oversight of major brands like Reese's and Kit Kat will be directed toward scaling Rip Van, a company built on a fiber-forward, low-sugar alternative to traditional confectionery. He succeeds co-founder Rip Pruisken, who remains with the company to focus on innovation and board duties, while co-founder Marco De Leon continues as CFO.
The appointment arrives as the brand reaches over 26,000 retail doors nationwide. Tillemans plans to leverage this momentum by refining the company's commercial operations and deepening retail partnerships. For the founders, the transition represents a shift from insurgent startup to a broader market presence, aiming to cement their position in the better-for-you snack category.
