During the four-year partnership, MadeGood saw its net sales increase two-and-a-half fold, solidifying its position as a major player in the better-for-you snacking category. The collaboration allowed the company to scale its manufacturing footprint, bolster its leadership team, and secure distribution in 40,000 retail locations globally. According to co-founder Nima Fotovat, the investment was instrumental in navigating the company's growth while maintaining its core mission and values.
Prelude Growth Partners, which focuses on founder-led consumer brands, acted as the company's first external capital partner. Neda Daneshzadeh, co-founder of the private equity firm, noted that the successful buyout represents a rare accomplishment for a scaling brand. While financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, both parties confirmed that the partnership concluded on positive terms, leaving the Ontario-based snack maker to continue its operations as a family-run business.
