The festival programming features two stages of continuous entertainment. The Main Stage opens at 12:05 p.m. with a performance from Broadway in Chicago, followed by sets from students representing Harold Washington College, Roosevelt University, and DePaul University. Chicago soul singer Simone Green anchors the day, closing the main stage at 5 p.m. to cap off an afternoon that includes the energetic sounds of Carpacho y Su Super Combo.
Simultaneously, the Second Stage hosts a global showcase of movement, starting at noon with students from The Joffrey Ballet. The schedule spans diverse traditions, including classical Indian Bharatanatyam, Hiplet NEXT, and the percussion-heavy rhythms of Cloggin' Craze. Interactive elements allow the public to participate directly, with line dancing lessons from the Second City Outlaws at 2 p.m. and a ballet workshop led by Ballet Chicago at 4 p.m.
Beyond the stages, the festival grounds will house a food truck pavilion, local art vendors, and a beer garden operated by Pier 31. Chicago Loop Alliance President and CEO Dr. Suzet McKinney noted that the event coincides with the Chicago Architecture Center's Open House Chicago, aiming to leverage the weekend to draw residents back to the city's cultural core. The event is free to the public, though organizers remind attendees that outside food and beverages are prohibited within the festival footprint.
