The facility currently serves students from Pre-K through grade 5, featuring specialized learning environments such as makerspaces, music studios, and flexible classrooms designed to foster collaboration. According to Dr. Blake Spahn, Vice Chancellor of the Dwight-Franklin School Group, the expansion aims to embed the school within the local community while providing students access to a global network of campuses spanning from London and Seoul to New York and Dubai.
Mira Al Futtaim, Chief Future Education Officer at the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation, noted that the collaboration leverages the foundation’s regional expertise alongside Dwight’s 150-year history of student-centered pedagogy. The school plans to broaden its reach in the 2027–28 academic year by introducing curriculum for grades 6 through 9. Beyond its core academic offerings, the Cairo site integrates research-based Arabic language instruction through the Centre for Excellence in Arabic, ensuring the curriculum remains rooted in the local cultural context while maintaining an international perspective.
