The Princeton-based firm, which operates MIAX, MIAX Pearl, MIAX Emerald, and MIAX Sapphire, also secured a record market share of 17.1% for the year-to-date period, rising from 16.7% in the prior year. Despite these strong yearly gains, monthly performance saw a slight cooling trend. Options average daily volume for September 2026 stood at 10.7 million contracts, a 0.7% decrease compared to September 2025.
Activity across other business segments showed mixed results. MIAX Pearl’s equity trading volume reached 103 million shares for the month, while the MIAX Futures exchange reported growth in its agricultural sector, with an average daily volume of 8,036 contracts. The company continues to integrate its diverse asset classes, including its recently launched financial futures, to maintain its position as a technology-driven operator in regulated financial markets.
