Pixi Reclaims Its Glowtober Spotlight with Iconic Glycolic Toner

Eighty-two percent of users reported more even skin tone after a 30-day trial of Pixi’s Glow Tonic, a staple in the brand's lineup since 1999. As October begins, the London-based beauty house is refocusing its marketing efforts on the original 5% glycolic acid formula that pioneered daily acid-based exfoliation.

Developed by makeup artist and product creator Petra Strand, the alcohol-free toner uses a blend of 5% Glycolic Acid, Aloe Vera, and Ginseng. The formula aims to address dullness and uneven texture by lifting dead surface cells while simultaneously soothing the skin. According to a consumer perception study involving 59 women, 91% of participants noted the product felt hydrating, while 80% observed a visible reduction in blemishes.

Strand designed the toner to bridge the gap between clinical efficacy and daily skincare accessibility. Before acid-based toners became a mainstream beauty category, Glow Tonic served as the foundation for the brand's signature aesthetic. The product is intended for use after cleansing, followed by serum or moisturizer, with the company advising those new to exfoliation to start with a frequency of two to three times per week. The 250ml bottle is currently priced at $29 and remains available through the company's website and select retail partners.
