Unit4 Acquires Napta to Bolster Skills-Based Resource Management

Unit4 is acquiring Paris-based Napta to integrate AI-driven skills intelligence into its enterprise cloud applications. The deal aims to bridge the gap between financial planning and human resource management for professional services firms, allowing companies to align project staffing with specific employee skill sets on a global scale.

The acquisition positions Napta to scale its operations while maintaining its brand, leadership, and open ecosystem model. CEO Arnaud Caldichoury will remain at the helm alongside his co-founders, ensuring continuity for clients in the consulting, audit, and engineering sectors. By connecting Napta’s capacity planning data with Unit4’s existing ERP and HCM solutions, the companies intend to create a unified flow for project management, enabling firms to track the financial impact of staffing decisions in real time.

For Unit4, the move is a core component of a broader growth strategy targeting the professional and business services vertical. As organizations face pressure to improve utilization rates and profit margins, demand for automated, AI-assisted resource matching has surged. The integration will support existing customers across 70 countries, with both firms committing to maintain compatibility with a wide range of third-party ERP and PSA platforms.
