York Space Systems Faces Class Action Following Software Misconduct Claims

A federal securities class action lawsuit has been filed against York Space Systems Inc. and its senior executives in the District of Colorado. The litigation follows a 10.9% plunge in the company's stock price on May 11, 2026, sparked by allegations that the firm misrepresented the functional capabilities of its satellite software.

The complaint, captioned Ianelli v. York Space Systems Inc. et al., alleges that the aerospace company misled investors regarding the maturity of its proprietary technology. While York Space Systems secured 96% of its fiscal 2025 revenue from U.S. government contracts—primarily through the Pentagon’s Space Development Agency—the lawsuit claims these successes masked significant development failures.

The market volatility was triggered by a report from Wolfpack Research, which cited former employees claiming the company launched satellites without verified software. According to the allegations, the firm deferred critical debugging processes until after the hardware reached orbit. Following these disclosures, the company's stock fell from $35.88 to $31.97 per share. Investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff in the case have until October 30, 2026, to petition the court.
