Since the mid-nineties, the brand has transitioned from a singular racing innovation into a global standard for sim enthusiasts. By securing partnerships with industry giants including Red Bull, Mercedes-AMG, PUMA, PlayStation, NASCAR, and Formula 1, Playseat transformed niche equipment into accessible consumer hardware. This history includes milestones like the first foldable racing seat and specialized formula-position setups, which forced competitors to adapt to their design language.
Looking ahead, the company is moving to diversify its catalog. The upcoming Evolution 2 cockpit aims to refine the ergonomics established by its predecessor, focusing on versatility and expandability for both amateur and professional users. According to founder Fernando Smit, the firm intends to maintain this market momentum by applying its Dutch-engineered, patented design philosophy to new simulation categories, specifically targeting the flight and farming hardware markets later this year.
