NBA China Games 2026 to Transform Macao Into Basketball Hub

The Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets are set to headline a five-day sporting takeover in Macao this October, as Sands China expands its NBA partnership. The series, running from Oct. 7 to 11, aims to cement the city’s status as a premier global destination for high-profile tourism and professional athletics.

The event schedule centers on two preseason matchups at The Venetian Arena, with tip-offs slated for Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. The Mavericks' roster brings star power including Kyrie Irving and 2025-26 Rookie of the Year Cooper Flagg, while the Rockets counter with a lineup featuring Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun.

Beyond the games, the city will host an expansive fan carnival at the Cotai Expo. NBA HOUSE will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering free public access to interactive tech, retail, and dining. The venue will serve as a hub for appearances by league legends, including Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, and Stephon Marbury. Complementing the spectacle, the "NBA Cares x Sands Cares Community Impact Week" will deploy players and legends into local schools and neighborhoods to facilitate clinics and health initiatives, further integrating the league into the regional social fabric.
