DaVinci Commerce Launches AI Tool to Bridge Product Context Gap

As consumers increasingly rely on LLMs to navigate retail, standard product catalogs are failing to keep pace. DaVinci Commerce is addressing this by launching its Agentic Commerce Experience Platform, a system designed to translate static SKU data into machine-readable knowledge that AI agents can actually understand and recommend.

Traditional catalogs describe what a product is—its ingredients or specifications—but they rarely explain why a consumer should choose it for a specific problem. By introducing Product Context Memory, DaVinci Commerce allows brands to attach layers of intent, use cases, and lifestyle benefits to every SKU. This technology enables AI agents to move beyond simple citations, matching products to nuanced consumer needs like sensitive skin or holiday gifting.

The platform integrates three core components: the Agentic Discoverability Engine for enriching and measuring SKU performance, Brand Agent for distributing this data to platforms like ChatGPT or Amazon Alexa, and Agentic BrandStore for deep, brand-controlled consumer interactions. According to CEO Diaz Nesamoney, the shift is critical because AI agents are rapidly becoming the primary gateway to modern commerce. By providing machine-readable context, brands can ensure their products are not just mentioned by AI, but actively selected and connected to a purchase path.
