Urker was found unresponsive at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1, his 34th birthday. While authorities are still investigating the cause of death, Blanchard has linked his passing to the intense online scrutiny he endured. She argues that current moderation tools often fail because they evaluate individual posts in isolation, missing the cumulative impact of targeted abuse.
Through a Change.org petition dubbed 'Kenan’s Law,' Blanchard is urging platforms to analyze the volume and pattern of reports directed at a single user. She maintains that this proposal is not designed to stifle legitimate criticism or public discourse, but rather to protect the humanity of public figures who are frequently subjected to persistent, coordinated harassment campaigns. Blanchard, who shares a daughter, Aurora Raina, with Urker, stated she intends to channel her grief into advocacy to prevent others from experiencing similar online victimization.
