Edward Min, President and CEO of StarKist, joined the veterans to reflect on a conflict that shaped the modern Korean Peninsula. Speaking to the attendees, Min emphasized that the sacrifices made seven decades ago in brutal conditions were foundational to the freedom South Korea enjoys today. For the past five years, StarKist has formalized this partnership with The Chosin Few, an organization dedicated to documenting the history of those who served in the 1950 campaign.
Shayne Jarosz, President of The Chosin Few, noted that the ongoing support from corporate partners provides more than just ceremony; it ensures that the personal histories of the soldiers are archived for future generations. The reunion featured musical performances and shared storytelling, serving as a point of connection for families and supporters. Dongwon and StarKist have maintained these veteran-focused programs for over 15 years, viewing the preservation of these accounts as a core component of their company legacy.
