The social media post, shared Friday morning, offers a window into the couple’s private life before the tragedy. One clip captures the pair laughing while using an exaggerated face filter, while another features Urker singing in a car. Blanchard’s tribute also includes footage of their daughter, Aurora, born in December 2024 after the couple rekindled their relationship earlier that year.
Urker was found unresponsive at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1. Blanchard reportedly attempted to reach him with a birthday message that went unanswered, leading her brother, Dylan, to check on him. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies responded to the residence that evening and discovered Urker deceased. While Blanchard has publicly suggested the cause was an overdose, officials state that the investigation remains active and an official cause of death has not yet been released.
Their connection began in 2017 through correspondence while Blanchard was incarcerated. Although they initially separated—with Blanchard marrying Ryan Anderson during her prison term—the two reconnected in April 2024 following her release and subsequent divorce. In recent months, the couple had been open about their efforts to strengthen their relationship through couples therapy, seeking an unbiased perspective to navigate the pressures of public scrutiny. Blanchard has stated that she believed Urker suffered under the weight of online criticism before his death.
