Vylor Inc. officially entered the S&P 500 on October 1, immediately following its spin-off from Corteva Inc. As part of the resulting market recalibration, Corteva will move to the S&P MidCap 400, replacing Olin Corp. Olin, in turn, is set to slide into the S&P SmallCap 600, taking the place of Qorvo, Inc. The shift involving Qorvo follows its pending acquisition by Skyworks Solutions Inc.
Simultaneously, Twilio Inc. will transition from the S&P MidCap 400 to the S&P 500, filling the vacancy left by Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. The latter is currently being acquired by Paramount Skydance Corp. This domino effect continues down the indices: Formfactor Inc. will leave the S&P SmallCap 600 to replace Twilio in the mid-cap index, while Workiva Inc. will enter the S&P SmallCap 600 to take Formfactor's former spot. Following these transactions, Paramount Skydance intends to shift its primary listing to the NYSE, and Vylor will reclassify its sector status to Consumer Staples.
