Family Mourns Death of Chad Lowe’s 13-Year-Old Daughter Fiona

Fiona was the middle daughter of Chad Lowe, 58, and his wife, Kim Painter, joining older sister Mabel, 17, and younger sister Nixie, 10. Following the announcement, the family shared a statement describing Fiona as the "light of our lives" and requested privacy as they navigate the tragedy. They also directed those struggling with mental health to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Her grandfather, Chuck Lowe, posted a tribute on Instagram, sharing a photograph of the teen with the caption, "Rest in peace, sweet Fiona." The family’s loss follows a difficult year for the household, which included the destruction of their home in the Pacific Palisades Fire earlier in 2025. In the aftermath of that fire, Chad Lowe had publicly praised his children’s resilience as they visited the remains of their property. While the family remains in mourning, they have not disclosed the specific cause of Fiona’s death. The principal of Fiona’s middle school also addressed the community, notifying parents of the death without identifying the student by name.
