Kawneer Names New CEO and CFO as Independence Transition Begins

Alpharetta-based architectural aluminum manufacturer Kawneer has appointed Kate Anderson as Chief Executive Officer and Timothy Montz as Chief Financial Officer, marking a pivotal shift toward operating as an independent company under the ownership of Apollo Funds by 2027.

Anderson, who previously served as Kawneer’s Vice President of Sales and Sales Operations, steps into the top role with a mandate to oversee the firm’s transition to a standalone operating system. Her tenure at the company focused on commercial transformation and North American market growth. She emphasized that the upcoming year will prioritize investments in manufacturing facilities and a refreshed technological infrastructure to better serve the firm's client base.

Timothy Montz joins the leadership team to manage the company's financial restructuring. Bringing over two decades of experience, including a recent stint as Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting at Cox Communications, Montz is tasked with guiding the enterprise through its move away from existing corporate dependencies. The move aims to preserve the company's 120-year legacy while modernizing its internal operations to support long-term growth objectives.
