By leveraging real-time data and automated program administration, the firm sought to modernize a sector often hampered by traditional, manual underwriting processes. CEO Christopher Daggett noted that the transition to Novatae serves to scale the firm’s existing technological framework while maintaining the specialized service levels expected by their current agents.

For Novatae, the move represents a strategic expansion of its transportation footprint. Managing director Josh Taylor praised the acquisition for its immediate contribution to the firm’s technical capabilities and disciplined growth strategy. While financial terms remain private, the integration positions Novatae to leverage SPS’s niche expertise across its network of 43 offices nationwide. Giordano Halleran Ciesla served as legal counsel for the transaction, which was officially completed on August 1, 2026.
