The merger, which received overwhelming support from True Sky members in an August vote, unites two cooperatives with over seven decades of shared history. The combined financial institution now oversees assets approaching $20 billion and provides services to a membership base exceeding 1.1 million people.
RBFCU President and CEO Mark Sekula stated that the integration aims to leverage the shared heritage of both groups in the aviation sector while bolstering the "people helping people" philosophy. Over the coming twelve months, the organization will focus on consolidating operations and transitioning True Sky’s technical systems into the RBFCU infrastructure. This shift is intended to grant Oklahoma City members access to an expanded suite of financial products, digital tools, and community support resources previously unavailable under the True Sky banner.
