Yang will oversee quantitative forecasting for the Data Center Optical Connectivity market, specifically targeting the transition toward 800G, 1.6T, and 3.2T pluggable modules, alongside emerging technologies like near-packaged and co-packaged optics. His research will also track the rapid evolution of server Ethernet adapters and Smart NICs, which have become critical to maintaining performance in large-scale AI clusters.
"AI is transforming networking from a supporting interconnect function into a core determinant of data center performance," Yang stated. Before joining the Redwood City-based firm, he held leadership roles at Legrand, CommScope, and Dell. He holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and Chongqing University.
