The board focuses on high-stakes clinical areas including robotics, neuromodulation, and minimally invasive implants for heart disease and diabetes. By convening leaders from firms such as Abbott, Medtronic, Boston Scientific, and Eli Lilly, Arrowfly intends to foster a collaborative environment where technical expertise translates into actionable industry guidance.
Jim Hammerand, managing editor at Medical Design & Outsourcing and the board’s founding chair, emphasized that the initiative aims to provide device developers with the insights necessary to successfully bring improved products to market. Beyond quarterly meetings, members will contribute to podcasts, webinars, and editorial content to share expertise with the broader medical technology ecosystem. Amanda Buehner, Senior Vice President at Arrowfly, noted that connecting the entire value chain is critical to speeding up development cycles and strengthening industry partnerships.
