Paula Rosa Manhattan pivots to DTC with Dassault Systèmes technology

UK kitchen specialist Paula Rosa Manhattan is shifting its business model toward direct-to-consumer sales by integrating the HomeByMe Smart Kitchen Planner from Dassault Systèmes. The move marks a strategic pivot for the Ballingslöv International subsidiary, aiming to bypass traditional retail barriers through a fully digital, customer-controlled design experience.

Richard Lee, CEO of Paula Rosa Manhattan, described the adoption of the HomeByMe platform as a transformative step for the company. The software provides a guided interface that allows homeowners to design their own kitchen layouts, aligning with the manufacturer's goal of offering a more accessible, digital-first shopping journey. By moving away from purely traditional sales channels, the company intends to capture evolving consumer expectations for convenience and autonomy in home improvement projects.

Annabel Chaussat, CEO of 3DVIA at Dassault Systèmes, noted that embedding the Smart Kitchen Planner into a manufacturer’s core strategy highlights a broader trend in the kitchen sector. As the market in the UK becomes increasingly competitive, companies are prioritizing digital transformation to maintain growth and engagement. This partnership serves as a primary example of how legacy manufacturers are adapting their sales infrastructure to meet modern, omnichannel demands.
