Sublime Security Integrates Agentic AI into Email Data Loss Prevention

Traditional data loss prevention tools frequently rely on rigid, rule-based systems that struggle to distinguish between genuine security risks and routine business communication. This lack of nuance leads to excessive false positives, forcing many security teams to keep their systems in monitor-only mode. Sublime Security’s new offering attempts to solve this by applying its Autonomous Security Analyst (ASA) to outbound traffic, allowing the system to investigate flagged messages in context before taking action.

CEO Josh Kamdjou noted that the fear of blocking legitimate business deals often keeps security programs from being effective. By providing transparent detection logic, the platform allows engineers to see exactly why a message was flagged and how the AI reached its verdict. The system supports common data categories like health information and payment credentials, while allowing firms to customize policies for proprietary data such as product roadmaps or pricing structures. Available now for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace users, the tool integrates directly into existing workflows without requiring complex changes to mail-flow infrastructure.
