The latest move aligns with the exchange's broader commitment to scale its security reserves to $500 million over two years. By integrating Bitcoin directly into the fund, the platform aims to better hedge against shifting market conditions and the persistent security threats facing the digital asset sector. CEO Vugar Usi described the expansion as a continuous commitment rather than a static financial reserve, noting that security infrastructure must evolve at the same pace as the risks themselves.
To ensure transparency, the exchange maintains publicly traceable on-chain wallet addresses, allowing users to verify the reserves independently. This strategic buildup of capital is intended to bolster the firm’s risk-management framework as it continues to serve users across more than 170 markets. The platform, founded in 2018, currently operates with a zero-fee trading model, a feature it balances by prioritizing these ongoing investments in security and infrastructure.
