Bruce Claassen Appointed CFO at Kao Data to Drive AI Infrastructure

Claassen steps into the role at a critical junction for the specialist developer as demand for AI-ready infrastructure accelerates. He will work alongside CEO Spencer Lamb to scale operations and manage capital investment strategies, leveraging a background that includes senior positions at Worldpay, RAC, and Towergate. His expertise in private equity-backed, high-growth environments is expected to bolster the company’s ongoing development of facilities in Park Royal and Stockport.

During his tenure at Global Switch, Claassen served as Group Finance Director and Acting CFO, overseeing financial operations across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. His track record includes managing complex refinancing programs essential for global expansion. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Claassen began his career in international listed companies after qualifying in London. Kao Data currently manages a portfolio representing over 237 MW of IT load, positioning the firm to support hyperscale cloud and advanced computing workloads.
