Dike & Son hits 92% sell-through rate using Gander retail tech

Independent grocer Dike & Son Superstore has reported a significant surge in efficiency, achieving a 92% sell-through rate on reduced products. This performance marks a sharp increase from the 73% rate recorded when the retailer first integrated Gander’s management technology into its operations in February 2026.

The store successfully moved 1,200 out of 1,310 marked-down items during the most recent reporting week. According to Company Director Adam Vincent, the gains stem from a combination of refined in-store reduction processes and active social media promotion. By leveraging Facebook to highlight available discounts through the Gander platform, the team has turned clearance management into a consistent revenue driver.

Ian Bacon, a consultant at Gander, attributed the success to the store's operational discipline. He noted that the ability to clear over nine out of ten reduced products serves as a practical blueprint for other independent retailers aiming to minimize waste while maximizing margins through targeted technology adoption.
