The appointment marks a strategic consolidation for the world’s largest music company. Bush, who previously founded the entertainment partnerships division at CAA, is tasked with merging UMG’s disparate media and commercial businesses into a single, cohesive function. By centralizing these operations in Los Angeles, the company intends to streamline how labels and songwriters interact with digital platforms, live events, and physical retail markets.
Bush brings two decades of experience to the role, including a tenure at Marvel Entertainment and agency leadership that saw the successful integration of her own firm, Tandem Entertainment, into CAA. Her move follows a series of recent executive shifts at UMG, including the hiring of Tseyin Foo for global supply chain operations and Hannah Poferl as Chief Data Officer. Boyd Muir noted that these leadership changes are designed to provide the company’s labels with specialized support to navigate an evolving commercial landscape where artists increasingly function as entrepreneurs and brands themselves.
