The Holly Springs-based manufacturer successfully navigated the complex transition to the three new virus strains recommended by the World Health Organization. While these updates typically complicate production cycles, CSL Seqirus finalized its logistics and distribution phases earlier than anticipated. Most customer orders are already in transit, and the company is now positioning its remaining inventory to support public health authorities grappling with localized shortages.

Stefan Merlo, Vice President of Commercial Operations, noted that the company is actively working to mitigate the supply challenges reported by other providers. The firm’s ability to maintain a consistent flow of doses is attributed to its integrated U.S. manufacturing network, which manages the entire process from strain selection to final distribution. According to the CDC, the 2025/26 season saw up to 800,000 influenza-related hospitalizations, underscoring the urgency of maintaining stable vaccine access before the end of October.
