Sovrn and Multilocal Partner to Scale Programmatic Curation

Boulder-based Sovrn is integrating Multilocal’s proprietary engine, cureon®, into its ad exchange to refine how advertisers access supply. By merging consumer purchase intent data with automated curation intelligence, the partnership aims to shift programmatic buying from broad targeting toward high-performance, signal-driven deal optimization.

The collaboration leverages Sovrn’s massive reach, which spans over 500 million daily consumers across mobile, web, and CTV channels. By layering in commerce signals from more than 50,000 retailers, the platform provides buyers with granular purchase behavior insights often missing from standard media metrics. Multilocal’s cureon® engine serves as the intelligence layer, translating these data points into actionable private marketplace deals that adjust based on real-time campaign performance.

Chris George, President at Sovrn, noted that the integration bridges the gap between consumer media consumption and actual purchasing habits, enabling publishers to capture more demand through smarter deal architecture. Zach Rosen, SVP at Multilocal, stated that the move addresses the industry’s shift toward using data and supply signals to inform decisions long before the first bid occurs, rather than relying solely on post-bid analysis.
