The cruise operator’s performance highlights a significant recovery, with adjusted net income reaching $2.0 billion. Demand remains resilient, as evidenced by customer deposits climbing to a record $7.6 billion—a seven percent increase over the previous year despite flat capacity growth. This momentum has extended well into the future, with occupancy and pricing for 2027 already tracking at record levels.
Management is leveraging this cash flow to aggressively reduce debt and return capital to shareholders. The company has repurchased approximately $1.2 billion in shares year-to-date and recently saw its credit rating upgraded by S&P, eliminating all remaining secured debt. CEO Josh Weinstein noted that the combination of disciplined capacity growth and sustained demand generation provides a durable foundation for continued earnings expansion through 2028.
