The launch arrives as 10x Genomics begins shipping its Atera instrument, which simplifies the generation of spatial whole transcriptome data at scale. Previously, researchers faced a fragmented pipeline of disparate tools and manual handoffs that stifled the speed of discovery. Sentira Spatial Analysis, the first module of the platform, aims to consolidate this journey into a single ecosystem.
Central to the performance boost is the integration of rapids-singlecell, a technology developed by NVIDIA and scverse. This allows the software to leverage GPU acceleration, bypassing the limitations of traditional CPU-based processing. Filip Defoort, Senior Vice President of Software at 10x Genomics, described the platform as a direct path from inquiry to discovery. The tool is currently available through an Early Access program for users of the Xenium and Atera systems, with a full commercial launch scheduled for early 2027.
