Evoltix Expands Battery-First Power Modules to Three-Phase Systems

The two new models, the ZPM 120/208V 6.75 kW and 13.5 kW, transition the company's architecture from its origins in remote telecom tower sites to indoor AC applications. Unlike conventional systems that require dedicated battery rooms and frequent maintenance of lead-acid strings, the Evoltix design uses pre-integrated lithium-ion batteries that eliminate the need for ventilation and complex off-gassing management.

Central to the system is the IntelliCore management platform. It integrates grid, solar, and generator inputs while utilizing machine learning to identify potential faults before they cause failures. According to Vice President of Sales Scott Tampke, the expansion directly answers demand from 911 centers for reliable, long-duration backup that avoids the pitfalls of short-term legacy solutions. To demonstrate the financial impact of this shift, Evoltix launched a TCO Studio tool. Their modeling of a four-site public safety deployment suggests a 47% reduction in ten-year ownership costs compared to traditional UPS setups, driven largely by lower maintenance requirements and the elimination of recurring battery replacement cycles.
