The company, founded in 2013, aims to address the persistent lack of private space in modern public and professional environments. By leveraging a decade of design experience in high-traffic areas like airports and convention centers, the new Ava Pods™ brand offers three distinct product categories: focus pods for confidential work and meetings, wellness pods for telehealth and behavioral health, and the legacy lactation suites.
CEO and co-founder Christine Dodson stated that the expansion addresses a growing demand for dignity and focus in spaces not originally designed for personal needs. The company continues to manufacture its units in Vermont, keeping engineering and customer support centralized to maintain quality control. Early adopters, such as the San Diego Convention Center, have already begun integrating these units to improve accessibility for employees and visitors. With installations currently active in all 50 U.S. states, the firm is positioning its modular, ADA-compliant structures as a permanent alternative to traditional architectural renovations.
