Go!Foton Expands Fiber Density and Monitoring at SCTE TechExpo '26

Network operators facing tight space constraints are getting a new toolkit at SCTE TechExpo '26, where Go!Foton is unveiling high-density hardware designed to reclaim rack space. The company’s latest exhibition at Booth D706 focuses on balancing increased physical capacity with granular oversight of fiber infrastructure.

The centerpiece of the company's display is the PEACOC 360-144 Spooling Patch Panel, a hardware update that boosts fiber density to 144 fibers per rack unit. This represents a 50% increase over previous iterations while maintaining the same physical footprint. The unit also integrates six 100-foot fiber spools, aiming to streamline deployment speed and organization in crowded data centers.

Beyond density, Go!Foton is emphasizing network visibility through updates to its EKO optical sensing platform. The company has integrated OTDR functionality with its multiport optical switch, allowing operators to move from simple fault detection to precise location pinpointing. According to Timothy Badar, VP of product line management, this dual approach addresses the industry-wide pressure to scale capacity and monitoring capabilities without requiring additional physical resources. By providing real-time data on infrastructure degradation, the EKO system is intended to shift maintenance strategies from reactive to proactive, ultimately reducing downtime for network operators.
