Supply Chain Startup Atomic Secures $12.5 Million for AI Control System

With $12.5 million in new Series A funding, Boston-based Atomic is scaling its AI-native platform designed to automate complex supply chain logistics. The startup, established by former Tesla operations leaders, provides physical goods companies with an autonomous control system that translates business objectives into daily purchasing and inventory decisions.

The financing round was led by Klass Capital and Madrona, with board seats going to Adrian Schauer and Matt McIlwain. Atomic plans to use the capital to transition its software from a decision-support tool into a comprehensive control system. By deploying AI agents to handle demand shifts and supply bottlenecks, the platform allows human teams to refine decision logic, which the system then executes across daily operations.

Atomic’s founders—Michael Rossiter, Neal Suidan, and Jeff Goodrich—developed their approach while managing Tesla’s supply chain during the Model 3 production ramp-up. Their platform integrates with existing ERP systems in roughly 30 days, avoiding the need for a total process overhaul. DoorDash’s DashMart currently uses the software to automate 90% of purchasing, while Good Chop utilized the tool to halve its inventory levels while simultaneously doubling revenue. The company’s Nucleus AI agent now handles tasks ranging from supply-risk assessments to inventory management for a growing client base that includes Starface World and LMNT.
