Pearson Acquires AI Skills Platform Workera to Expand Enterprise Reach

Workera, founded in 2019, utilizes agentic AI and psychometrics to evaluate employee capabilities through simulations rather than traditional testing. By joining Pearson’s Enterprise Learning & Skills unit, the platform will offer business leaders a real-time baseline of technical fluency. This data-driven approach is designed to guide targeted employee development and provide measurable ROI on training investments. Current Workera clients include major entities such as Accenture, ServiceNow, and the United States Space Force.

Vishaal Gupta, President of Enterprise Learning & Skills at Pearson, noted that the integration will allow the firm to close internal skills gaps with greater speed. Workera CEO Kian Katanforoosh, who will join Pearson’s leadership team following the acquisition, stated that the partnership will establish a new benchmark for workforce readiness. The approximately 60-person Workera team will pivot to support Pearson’s global mission of providing verified credentials and learning experiences across nearly 200 countries.
