The new hardware family—comprising the Adsmc7101 module, AdiMB7103 motherboard, and AdiCS7102 Box PC—shares a unified platform designed to streamline development for sectors including HMI, edge computing, and building automation. By leveraging the quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 architecture, the units offer 18% higher performance and 15% better power efficiency compared to their Cortex-A53 predecessors.
Advanet intends this modular approach to support long-lifecycle deployments, allowing OEMs to scale from initial prototyping to finalized production systems. The platform supports up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage, with additional software reliability ensured through the Renesas Verified Linux Package. Company leadership noted that the portfolio is also under evaluation for specialized aerospace applications, where supply chain continuity and customization remain critical.
