Carlos Yeung moves to 7-Eleven Australia to spearhead e-commerce

Carlos Yeung has joined 7-Eleven Australia as Head of E-commerce, marking a significant shift for the convenience retailer. Yeung, who previously served as Head of WMP Commercial at Woolworths Group, brings a background in digital retail strategy to help the company expand its footprint in the digital space.

Yeung officially concluded his tenure at Woolworths Group last week. Reflecting on his career path, which includes prior roles at MyDeal and Kogan.com, he described his time at the grocery giant as a period of transition from startup-style agility to corporate structure. He credited the support of suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners for his success in helping the business scale its online presence.

In his new capacity at 7-Eleven, Yeung aims to leverage his experience in pureplay online retail to bolster the brand's digital offerings. He characterized the appointment as a fresh challenge focused on modernizing the customer experience for what he described as the "king of convenience."
