The platform functions through two distinct channels. A consumer-facing version allows individuals to upload documents—such as tenancy agreements or insurance policies—to receive simplified breakdowns. Simultaneously, a business-oriented version integrates into corporate workflows, enabling companies to publish communications that comply with accessibility standards. This dual approach addresses the friction often caused by dense, exclusionary language in official correspondence.
Derek Kilroe, chairman of askelie, noted that the tool was developed to mitigate the confusion surrounding standard documentation. Beyond private use, the technology is already seeing public sector application, with Cornwall Council utilizing the platform to clarify essential documents. The service is currently available via subscription, marking an expansion of the company’s existing suite of AI-driven operational tools.
