Vertafore Debuts AI Agent to Slash Insurance Document Review Times

The platform, integrated directly into Vertafore’s ImageRight system, processes diverse file formats including PDFs, spreadsheets, and images to synthesize answers. Rather than returning a list of potential matches, the agent identifies specific coverage changes, loss histories, and communication sequences, providing citations for every data point it surfaces. Early testing indicates that tasks previously requiring 20 minutes of manual searching can now be completed in roughly two minutes.

Amber Troyer, software administrator at Hummel Group Insurance, noted the tool’s ability to locate relevant data even within mislabeled files—a common pain point for staff managing multi-year accounts. By automating the retrieval process, Vertafore aims to shift the role of agency and carrier personnel away from administrative document hunting toward high-level underwriting and client relationship management. This release expands the company's Velocity AI portfolio, which is designed to remove distribution drag across the insurance lifecycle.
