DocuWare Unveils AI-Driven Document Management Platform

The core of the upgrade is DocuWare Aura, an internal AI assistant that allows users to query, summarize, and compare information directly within their existing file cabinets. Unlike generic AI models, Aura operates exclusively on an organization's private data, maintaining strict access permissions while providing natural language answers supported by direct references to original documents. This focus on verifiable, company-specific intelligence is intended to reduce the time spent on manual data retrieval.

Complementing these analytical features, the platform introduces Gen AI-based Zero Shot Extraction within its Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) suite. This capability enables the system to categorize and extract data from unfamiliar document types without requiring historical training sets. The updated IDP also supports optical character recognition in 20 languages and includes master data matching to synchronize extracted figures with external ERP systems. The new interface, built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, replaces the previous web and mobile clients. Existing customers may run the new platform in parallel with their current configurations, ensuring a transition period that avoids disruption to established business processes.
