The week-long series features daily "Lunch & Learn" panels, scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET, which focus on the specific obstacles encountered by athletes, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals, and those relying on Medicaid or Medicare. Complementing these sessions, evening "Healing Hour" activities provide a space for recovery-focused community building, covering topics such as body image, decolonized self-care, and art therapy.
Dr. Whitney Trotter, CEO of Project HEAL, emphasizes that recovery should not be dictated by identity or financial status. To support these efforts, the organization is launching "The Care Collective," a monthly giving program designed to sustain their advocacy and direct support services. With 5.5 million Americans struggling with eating disorders annually and 77% of them unable to access treatment, the nonprofit is leveraging the campaign to bridge the gap between patients and necessary care. The program follows a successful 2025, during which the organization provided support to over 3,500 people without the assistance of government funding.
