The collaboration expands on Deutsche Bank's previous pilot programs with IPID, moving from niche fraud-prevention tests to a broad deployment across the bank’s global payments business. By centralizing verification and compliance signals, the bank intends to cut down on payment delays that often plague fragmented international networks. For corporate clients, this shift promises more predictable settlement timelines and higher success rates for high-volume transfers.
Damien Dugauquier, CEO of IPID, described the integration as a transition toward dynamic trust signals, noting that the industry is moving away from simple background checks. Rachel Whelan, Deutsche Bank’s Head of Payments and Transactional FX, added that the move is essential for identifying risks earlier in the transaction lifecycle. Both organizations will now co-develop new capabilities to address the complexities of an evolving, real-time global ecosystem.
