Achyuta Samanta Honored Across Europe for Education and Social Reform

The honorary citizenship remains the highest accolade a Romanian town can bestow, while the Key to the City serves as a symbolic gesture of absolute trust. Samanta visited Bârlad alongside Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, the Indian Ambassador to Romania, to accept the honors. Reflecting on the reception, Samanta expressed gratitude for the hospitality shown by the Romanian people during his visit.

His international recognition extended further during the 34th CEEMAN Annual Conference, where he was named 'Leader of the Year' for his institution-building efforts. Shortly after, the 46th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Uzbekistan saw Samanta receive the 'Education Philanthropic Award' from FIDE Acting President Viswanathan Anand. This ceremony culminated in a new partnership agreement between FIDE, KIIT, and KISS to promote chess within educational frameworks.

In Kosovo, the 45th World Congress of Poets added to his recent accolades. Samanta was presented with the 'Mother Teresa Award,' an honorary professorship from AAB University College, recognition from the city of Peja, and a medal from the President of the World Congress of Poets. These awards underscore a sustained global focus on his contributions to humanitarian service and the integration of sports with academic development.
