Telesur Modernizes Suriname Telecom Infrastructure with Cerillion 26.1

Suriname’s primary telecommunications provider, Telesur, has transitioned its entire BSS/OSS suite to the latest Cerillion 26.1 platform. The upgrade integrates advanced promotional tools and AI-driven automation, marking a significant shift toward a more agile, API-first architecture designed to streamline customer interactions and accelerate the deployment of digital services.

The migration allows Telesur to leverage a sophisticated Promotions Engine, which reduces the time required to configure and launch new market offers. By incorporating AI-powered agents and expanding the use of TM Forum Open APIs, the company aims to move beyond legacy limitations and improve operational efficiency. Updates to the CRM Plus interface now provide staff with a unified, real-time perspective on customer data, intended to refine service quality and simplify internal training processes.

Doric Ramlakhan, CEO at Telesur, described the transition as a straightforward process that achieved substantial technical gains with minimal business disruption. Following this deployment, the firm plans to implement Cerillion’s composable self-service portal, which will introduce flexible digital customer journeys and automated eKYC onboarding. This project aligns with Telesur’s long-term e-Suriname initiative to modernize the nation's digital infrastructure through continuous investment in scalable software solutions.
