The campaign’s strategy relies on two distinct advertisements released this week. The first, a visual montage set to a localized version of the song "Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii," emphasizes Brazil’s cultural and ecological identity, ending with the president asserting that the nation belongs solely to its people. According to reports from Correio Braziliense, the Puerto Rican artist personally granted permission for the campaign to use the track.
A second, more aggressive advertisement pivots directly to domestic politics by targeting Flávio Bolsonaro, the son of the imprisoned former president, Jair Bolsonaro. The spot labels the younger Bolsonaro as Trump’s proxy, warning that a victory for his opponent would effectively turn Brazil into an American colony. These efforts echo remarks Lula made at the United Nations General Assembly, where he insisted that Brazil is "no one’s backyard" and vowed to defend the country’s democratic processes against both internal and external threats.
