Wolfbox Puts Off-Road Visibility to the Test at Trail Hero 2026

Drivers at this year’s 11th Annual Monster Energy Trail Hero event face a stark challenge: navigating Sand Hollow’s jagged red-rock obstacles with all exterior windows blocked, relying entirely on digital feeds. The Wolfbox Blockout Challenge turns visibility into a high-stakes test of the company’s new FlexPilot camera system.

The weeklong gathering in Hurricane, Utah, starting September 28, serves as a proving ground for automotive technology. During the Blockout Challenge, participants will tackle a closed course using only the FlexPilot system, which replaces traditional mirrors with a 4K touchscreen fed by four strategic cameras. This setup aims to solve a persistent off-road problem: the inability to see tires and terrain on near-vertical climbs. The top eight teams from the qualifying rounds on October 1 and 2 will advance to a final showdown at The Chute, one of the region’s most demanding rock-crawling obstacles.

Beyond the challenge, Wolfbox is expanding its footprint by sponsoring two major trails—the scenic Top of the World and the technically brutal The Fallen—and debuting the NomadPixel 5. This new system offers programmable pixel displays for off-road auxiliary lighting, allowing drivers to customize graphics and text via smartphone while utilizing 8,850 raw lumens per unit. The brand will maintain a constant presence at the Washington County Fairgrounds and the Water Tank parking lot, offering hands-on demonstrations through October 3.
