Seaver, who served as head of security for over two decades, received a termination letter on September 16 from She’s Alive LLC (SAL), the entity managing Parton’s legacy under manager Danny Nozell. The estate subsequently filed a lawsuit and secured a temporary restraining order against him. Legal filings claim Seaver threatened employees and vowed to destroy the brand, citing messages where he referred to himself as a “killer.”
Seaver rejects these accusations as a deliberate mischaracterization of private conversations. He maintains that “The Killer” was a long-standing nickname given to him by his aunt, describing it as an inside joke within her inner circle. He characterizes the contentious messages as “rage talk” shared between him and Nozell, rather than genuine threats. Despite the legal friction, Freida Parton has publicly dismissed rumors of a wider family feud, affirming that Seaver remains loved by the family.
Following his dismissal, Seaver and his firm, Squadrant Augmented Protection Services, were removed from the property. The court-ordered restraining order requires him to maintain a 1,000-foot distance from SAL employees and business associates. A formal hearing is set for October 7 to address the ongoing claims.
