Roseanne Barr Launches Profane Tirade Against Michael Fishman

Appearing on the "Can’t Be Censored" podcast, Barr responded to Fishman’s recent remarks regarding the controversy that ended the sitcom. Fishman, who played D.J. Conner, had labeled the show’s cancellation "rightfully" earned, arguing that dehumanizing rhetoric carries real-world consequences. Barr dismissed his analysis, claiming the actor lacks geopolitical context and asserting that she had originally fought to keep him on the project when producers considered his removal.

This latest friction follows years of tension between Barr and her former co-stars. Fishman previously defended ABC’s decision to cut ties with the comedian after her 2018 social media post comparing former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett to the Muslim Brotherhood and "Planet of the Apes." While Barr maintains her comment was political, Fishman and other cast members have consistently rejected the defense, leading to the launch of the spinoff "The Conners." Barr’s son, Jake Pentland, has also publicly criticized Fishman, accusing the cast of abandoning his mother to preserve their own careers.
